About Me

Hi, I’m Katie Conley—an artist, surface designer, and creative storyteller passionate about bringing joy through color and pattern. With a BFA in Fine Arts from Wittenberg University and an AA in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design, my journey has taken me from the fast-paced world of NYC fashion to launching my own clothing and accessory line, which grew to 100+ wholesale clients—including Macy’s, our biggest account.

After years of designing and running my own brand, I transitioned into freelance graphic design and social media content creation, helping businesses craft visual identities that resonate. While surface design is my passion project—where I create vibrant, meaningful artwork for products like greeting cards, textiles, and home décor—At the same time, I love using my skills in storytelling, branding, and design to help businesses elevate their presence through social media.

For me, color is more than just a design element—it’s a way of life. It connects me to my art, my personal style, and the world around me. Whether I’m creating surface patterns, curating social media content, or getting dressed each day, color is my constant. It makes me feel aligned, expressive, and in tune with my creativity. I believe in dressing happy, surrounding myself with bold hues, and using color as a tool to spark joy, optimism, and connection.

On a more personal note, I live in Edgewood, Kentucky, with my wonderful husband, Chris, our two amazing kids, Chloe and Johnny, and our beloved pets, Teddy and Eddy. When I’m not creating, you’ll find me exploring new color palettes, collecting fun fashion finds, trying new organic champagnes, and cheering on my kids at their sporting events.
